Abby Filer is a contemporary fashion, jewellery designer – maker, working with silver, enamels, and printed aluminium to create fresh, feminine and colourful pieces of jewellery.
Abby’s uncluttered designs, give a simple feel to its elegant appearance. Its head turning uniqueness is versatile enough to complete most outfits, from formal attire’s to a casual look.
The inspiration for Abby’s latest jewellery range comes from somewhere very special to this designer…her home town of Summerseat. Her countryside abode provided the array of brightly coloured flowers she loves, the clear night skies exploded with stars of all kinds and even the rusty old farm machinery and chains sparked ideas of something new and bold. Fused with her natural affinity for the 1960s psychedelic designs, she soon gave life to her those impatiently sketched drawings.
Since graduating from the Manchester Metropolitan University in July 2006, Abby has continued to pursue her love of Jewellery design. And now, from her little studio in Manchester, Abby produces and distributes her range of hand made jewellery across the UK for galleries such as the Royal Exchange in Manchester, shops include Eliza Maccabe – Manchester, Studio 1- Manchester Craft and Design Centre and is currently exhibiting in the Shire Hall Gallery.
